The official trailer was just released for Game of Thrones star Lena Headey's brand-new film, Ballistic.
It's been seven years since Game of Thrones ended, and Headey has appeared in several shows and films since then. Her latest is Ballistic, a film directed by Chad Faust, who also wrote the screenplay. The movie will arrive in theaters and on demand on April 17.
In the just-released trailer for Brainstorm Media's Ballistic, Headey stars as Nance Redfield, a grieving mother whose son was killed while serving overseas. Grief turns to horror and revenge, though, when she realizes that her employer, a munitions factory, made the bullet that ended her child's life. Check out the trailer for Ballistic below:
The Ballistic trailer begins with some heartwarming scenes of Nancy officiating her son's wedding and talking to him on a video call as he is about to re-enter the front lines of the war. Heartbreak quickly follows as he is shot down, and Nancy attends her own son's funeral. As grief overwhelms the mother, she cries out while sitting in a bathtub.
As the trailer continues unfolding, Nancy sets out on a quest for revenge. She starts seeking out answers about the fatal bullet. "I want to know who killed my kid," she says. A medical official tells her they found the discharge bullet. "My kid was killed with an American bullet," she replies in disbelief.
After discovering this shocking revelation, Nancy confronts someone at her work and questions why some of the bullets were "going to the enemy." Later, the mother buys a gun and tests it out at a range as she admits she's seeking justice. She also shows up at an Army career center and asks if they remember recruiting her son, Jesse Redfield.

The mystery deepens, and Nancy starts asking even more questions than ever before, including trying to obtain classified information. The answers will be revealed on April 17. Headey's co-stars in Ballistic are Hamza Haq, Amybeth McNulty, Jordan Kronis, Amanda Brugel, Enrico Colantoni, and Chad Faust, with Thomas Michael, David Tish, Lee Nelson, Roman Kopelevich, and Crystal Hill serving as producers.
After starring in 300 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Headey landed a major breakout role in the entertainment industry when she was cast as Cersei Lannister on Game of Thrones, HBO's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy novels. The role earned her nominations at the Emmys, Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, and Saturn Awards.
After Game of Thrones ended in 2019, the actress went on to other projects, like DC League of Super-Pets, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Wizards: Tales of Arcadia, Masters of the Universe, White House Plumbers, and The Abandons.
Aside from Ballistic, the Game of Thrones alum can also be seen in Red, White & Royal Wedding, Prime Video's upcoming sequel to the hit rom-com Red, White & Royal Blue; a release date has not been announced yet.
Ballistic will be released in select theaters and On Demand on Friday, April 17, 2026.
