An official trailer has just been released for Ballistic, the new action thriller starring Lena Headey (Game of Thrones). The film is coming to limited theaters and VOD in April.
In the movie, Headey stars as a mother who tragically loses her son in war. Looking to avenge her child, she uncovers where the bullet that killed him came from, sparking a mission for revenge. Headey appears to go full John Wick in the trailer for the film, which is hitting limited theaters and VOD simultaneously on Apr. 17, 2026. You can check out the new trailer below.
Lena Headey Is Out for Revenge in Ballistic

The official logline for Ballistic reads, "When a soldier's mother (Lena Headey) discovers the bullet that killed her son in Afghanistan was made at the factory where she works, she sets out on a path of revenge against those responsible."
Chad Faust (Better Start Running, Girl) wrote and directed Ballistic, and appears in the film in a minor role. Along with Headey, the film also stars Hamza Haq (Transplant, With Love and a Major Organ), Amybeth McNulty (Stranger Things, Anne with an E), Amanda Brugel (Jason X, Dark Matter), and Enrico Colantoni (English Teacher, The Trades). Jordan Kronis is also featured as Headey's son.
Headey's role is reminiscent of when she played the titular character in the franchise series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, similarly playing a mother utilizing her skills with weaponry in order to keep her son safe. Her Game of Thrones role as Cersei Lannister may have been much more dastardly, but one quality that character had that any parent could relate to is the love and protective nature she felt for her son. Clearly, Headey is a great choice for the lead in Ballistic.
